An opinion is like an asshole…everyone has one.
IT is rather disturbing to note most people having their two cents worth which at times are only worth two cents.
While credit ought to be given towards those who have come up with good ramblings, others meanwhile are a sheer disappointment, or maybe their ignorance towards the workings of society results such shallow remarks.
There are always two sides to a coin, best said one man’s meat is another man’s poison. There will always be differing views which will not please everyone generally thus when comments are abuses are hurled towards the working of a certain organisation, country or department, it can be rather annoying listening to the comments made.
But then again, it’s just human nature that every man or woman would love to rule an island of their own, following their own set of rules and regulations. Some would crave to stamp the marijuana leaf as the national identity or sing Bob Marley’s ‘No Woman No Cry’ as the national anthem.
All said and done, views should be taken with an open mind. However, most views- which have no substance or facts- ought to be simply brushed aside. There is a reason why traffic lights turn red and cars come to a halt or the need of queuing up even if the line is long.
Meeting sessions and even parliamentary proceedings can at times provide humour due to the ignorance of certain parties. Foolish they may sound; nothing is done or seems to be done to change the ‘tidak-apa’ attitude.
The passing of our former deputy prime minister Tun Ghaffar Baba is a loss to the nation. Yet some don’t even know who he is and mind you this person is reading law!
Silence is golden. Thus it is best to reserve comments until and unless one is equipped with facts. It’s true everyone is entitled to an opinion, but don’t let your opinion make an asshole out of you.
