KEDAH won the 18th edition of the TM FA Cup final after beating Perlis 4-2 on penalty kicks.

Both neighbours were earlier held to a goalless draw even after extra time.

Kedah coach Azraai Khor Abdullah is happy with the win adding "Kedah now aim the Malaysia Cup and Super League titles".

"My faith in the youngsters have paid as they showed their maturity on the field," he added.

Kedah has two players preparing for the Asian Cup which starts in 10 days time.

Perlis, despite having their Zambian connection of Phillemon Chepita and Zachariah Simikonda failed to shakle the Kedah fort. Numerous of their chances went astary and the local players from both teams were blunt in front of goals, with wild shots no where near the posts.

It comes to no surprise national coach Norizan Bakar has little to work with in spearheading his attacking line as most players lack the scoring ability, being overzealous once inside the penalty area.
