Iraq wins!

A good lesson we all could learn.

Iraq, a war torn country are the new winners of the Asian Cup.

The Iraqi side edged Saudi Arabia 1-0 of the Asian final played in Jakarta, which ended just minutes ago. Iraq's Younis Mahmoud scored the solitary goal in the 71st minute.

Yes, the team has been funded by an outside party.

Yes, only one player plays in Iraq while the rest play abroad.

And yes, they are better exposed compared to Malaysia.

The FA of Malaysia once highlighted all those issues, thus giving the middle easter side the edge. Excuses or otherwise, the Iraqis played their hearts out and they won. No promises of land, no promises of peace, no promises of monetary rewards by their government. Just for the pleasure of making the nation proud and uniting the people, even if it only lasts for one day.

That's the power of winning. Sadly, none view of such in Malaysia.

To the FA of Malaysia and those involved in football, Iraq has showed you and the world that you suck!
